What are we modeling for the next generation? ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER! As we focus on the holiday season don’t forget about spending time with your children and not allowing social media and other distractions to steal your time.  I have watched all of the time and energy and uproar on social media about the Duck Dynasty show. I have nothing against Duck Dynasty, but was a little disturbed by what I was reading.  It surprised me how many people began to boycott the network and put petitions out.   As I read about the conditions of our schools, children being killed daily, people dealing with life threatening illness with no medical insurance, homeless families, children and families in 3rd world countries living off less than $3.00 a day not getting the same type of response as reality show celebrities it makes me sad.  

I started  to wonder what have we come to that only certain things disturb us.   As many boycott A&E network, please stop and take a look and see what’s happening in your own backyard or even your family that needs an advocate. People should be careful even when you don’t agree that you don’t appear to be doing the same as what you are accusing others of doing. If you work for any company they will hold us all to this same expectation.  As much as we don’t believe or agree, we all represent our companies outside of the office.  That’s just the way it is with your company or your family. So if you decide to stand for what you believe, it will come with a consequence.  So what will your response be?    1Peter 4:8 ESV- Above all keep, loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
