MY definition of a step mother is a woman who goes the extra STEP in that child’s life and doing everything that needs to be done and make the choice to love when they don’t have too…Words can not express my love for this young man. I call him my ‘bonus child’, because i married his dad and he was the bonus!!! It’s different with us, we have a mom/friend relationship and it works for us. He calls me ‘ma’ without force and defiantly shows me that I have earned that title in his life and I am truly honored for that. He knows I am crazy about him and I love him to death… He respects me and NEVER treats me any different because I’m not his birth mom. Seeing the love he has for me makes me love him more, because he made a choice at a very young age to love me when he didn’t have to as well… I am honored to be his ‘ma’ (stepmom), and I am so grateful for this day wouldn’t be complete with YOU, Vonte! I absolutely love you…
