Laughter is God’s hand on the shoulder of a troubled world. ~ Bettenell Huntznicker
Many of our homes have turned into an environment of task and to do list. Are you raising children that will want to come back home when they have grown up and left the nest? Home should be a place where they feel the most loved, encouraged and inspired. They should not feel like they have to perform, or gain your approval. When children feel JOY your house should be full of LAUGHTER and fun times as well as structure. What kind of home do you have? Go home and ask your children how they feel about being home. Also ASK your older children who have already left home for college or career.
Questions to ASK?
- Does home feel like a safe place or a place of pain and disappointment?
- Do we laugh enough? Don’t miss the opportunity to laugh with your children and your spouse.
- Do you feel Joy and peace in our home? Life is short and should be full of Joy and laughter.
We are so consumed with making it, meeting every deadline, wanting our children and spouses to be perfect that we forget to enjoy the time that we have with them when we are home. Make sure JOY and LAUGHTER is still showing up at your house.
A good laugh is sunshine in the house. — William Thackeray
